Re: Smartdate5 and external print trigger

Hello We're not familiar with external triggers on these printers as we have never set one up to print that way. If the actual trigger doesn't work you will have to contact Markem support. There are a few things you can do to check if the label is ready to be printed. If you go to the printer's IP y...

Re: Markem driver with print quantity (Allocation)

There is no such option in the driver itself. As far as I know NiceWatch should have an "unlimited" option as well. If by "Using our own software" you mean that you're printing in a way that somehow bypasses the NiceWatch quantity selection you can try entereing a quantity of 9999. That could "trick...

Re: X40 print delay.

I would think there's a setting on the printer that handles that. You would probably get a much better reply from Markem.

At this moment our driver has no such settings.

Re: Markem driver with print quantity (Allocation)

Driver uses print quantity for print allocation. This functionality was requested so that users have a way of limiting the number of prints from a label. If print allocation is not something that user needs they can select "unlimited quantity" on the print dialog. Alternatively "export to printer" w...

Re: Smartdate X40

How is your computer connected to the printer?

Is it TCP/IP connection?

If yes please make sure you are using "Advanced TCP/IP" port (provided with the driver).
Port number on Markem printers is also not the standard 9100 but should be 20000 (or at least it was on our Markem printer).

Re: Markem SmartDate 5

This is a hard one to answer without more data so I'll have to ask for more details first before I can provide a full answer. Since Markem 5 uses bidirectional communication a few things have to be setup in order for it to work. - if using tcp/ip make sure the advanced tcp/ip port monitor(provided w...

Re: CAB XD4 driver

Thanks for the pictures. It helped me understand what happens. I'll try to explain as it's a bit complicated. Cab printers with two sides or colors (printers with more then one printhead) work in a specific way. They will "halve" the designed label width. The left half is put one one print head. The...

Re: Choosing color for text

Assuming we are still talking about XC4(mentioned in the other thread) I would like to see a screenshot of the dialog where you change the colors. I am asking that because there are two ways of changing color in NiceLabel. One is on the Style tab of the text element. The other is on the Font propert...

Re: CAB CX4 issue

The stream produced by the sample label looks OK to me. I would try a couple of things to see if it changes anything. First thing to do would be to change one of the elements color to red (available selection should be black and red). This should attempt to use the other ribbon on the printer thus s...

Re: CAB CX4 issue

Would it be possible for you to attach the label you're trying to print?

Alternatively I would like to see the printer driver preferences and specifically the Advanced Setup tab in preferences.
Driver version itself would be nice to know as well.

Re: CAB XD4 driver

Hi, I tried, but if i disable this option, the printing is not working properly. if i want to print two labels, the printer prints one with the front side (printed on both side of the labelmaterial), and another one with the rear side(also printed on both side of the labelmaterial). We don't have t...

Re: Overrun Error

I keep getting an over run error on the SATO CL412e. It is happening on large labels I'd say after around 100-200 labels are printed. Can you please be more specific about what kind of an overrun error we're dealing with. Are there any error codes displayed? At the moment we don't have enough infor...

Re: SmartData X40 and Internal Counter

This printer requirement for counters is that the minimum/maximum values are defined. If that's not the case you will get an error like you described. To define a min/max for the counter you need to do the following: Open counter variable properties. Turn on "Advanced" view with the button at the bo...

Re: Turn off the date/time format checking.

Can you please confirm which Markem printer you're referring to.
SmartDate 2/3 is quite different from SmartDate 5.

I may be able to help you depending on which model you're using. We could add the missing date/time pictures quite quickly.
