Mass update of fixed text in label templates

Hello,

We have approx 500 label templates done in NoceLabel Pro. There is a need to change a fixed text that exists in a large part (but not all) of these templates, for example change ABC to ABCDEF.

Any proposals how to automate this work?

Thanks in advance.

Problem with perforation / cut on CAB A4+M

Hello, We have a slight problem printing on shrinking tubes on a CAB A4+M (300DPI). We'd like to perforate the tube after each label and cut after the complete batch. Problem is that occationally, the tube is cut in the middle of the print job. We have set the perforation depth (not sure about the E...

Duplicate and skipped S/N

Hi, I have a label template made in NL Pro 5.2.2. On the label I have a text string printing a fixed text, an order number and a serial number (001, 002, 003 etc), combined using a very simple VB script. I trigger printing label using this template from a NiceForm app. Printing today was a mess and ...

Re: Need to do an OUTER JOIN

Miso, Thanks for fast reply, brilliant. Another one... How would the SQL statement look like when using an ODBC connection to the database, assuming two tables, Customer and CustomerOrder? Like this? select CustomerOrder.OrderNumber, Customer.c_name from Customer, CustomerOrder where Customer.c_id =...

Re: Need to do an OUTER JOIN

Hi, I need some advice on how to use SQL to pull data from several tables in NiceForm. Let's assume simple example: Table Customer: c_id c_name 123 CUST A 456 CUST B Table CustomerOrder: Oid OrderNumber c_id OrderQty 1 L12 123 22 2 B44 456 92 Table Orderline: Oid OrderNumber DelDate ArtNo 1 L12 2011...

Re: Speed problems with Database & Preview

Hi Miso, Thanks for your reply. I do have "Refresh previews" as an action on my Refresh button. I also have the preview attribute set to "Automatically" in the properties for the preview. But I can't get this to work when the lbl file is changed, for example the location (for example the location of...

Re: Speed problems with Database & Preview

Hi, I have a fundamental question related to Preview, not necessary related to speed... I have a Form that fetch data from an ERP. Based on data in the ERP a label (designed in NiceLabel Pro) will be previewed. Works very well. The customer have also requested a "Refresh" button since sometimes they...

Re: Protocol error from CAB A+ printer

Hello Ralf, Thanks for your kind offer. Good news is that I take back my problem. Not a NiceLabel or CAB issue. Rather an issue related to how the printers are connected / shared. But you know, as long as the error message indicate a problem with data sent from "the computer" the ball is in my court...

Protocol error from CAB A+ printer

Hello, I have a NiceForm app that reads data from the ERP database and create a JOB file (I want to / need to use SESSIONPRINT). When I run the JOB file the printer prints some 25 out of the 70 labels and then issue "Protocol error" and stops. I can't see any errors with my JOB file. The printer sto...

PDF-417, problems printing

Hi, I have some weird problems printing labels having PDF-417 bar-codes. The amount of data in the PDF-417 is very little, approx 40 bytes. We use "Print bar-code as a graphics". #1. When printing directly from NiceLabel - works fine, label printed correct. #2. When printing from NiceForm (using the...

For all selected records and how to make records selected...

Hi, Sorry if this is too simple to ask or if it has been covered by other posts. In my Form I collect records from a database (ODBC). Now I'd like to select one or several records based on an article number. So I use SQL statement in Database access like select * from DB where art = :Article Works v...

Re: Cannot set variable error

Hi, I'm having some problems with the "cannot set variable []" error message (103009). I've read all posts on here related to 103009 but sorry, can't find a solution to what I experience. I have a Form that will extract data from an ERP, assign data to predefined variables and then simply print. My ...
