Re: [PF2017] Change printing mode

You can apply printer settings to the label just once. However, we will do the "merge of printer settings". For example, when you have a label created for one label printer and then you select some other printer (from the same or different brand), the settings from the first driver will be merged wi...

Re: Migrating label from NL6 to NL2017

NiceLabel 2017 or NiceLabel 2019 do not support each and every feature available in V6. We have compiled a list of differences between versions. For NiceLabel 2017 compared to V6 see this KB article . The NiceLabel API is no longer exposed inside VBScript in NiceLabel 2017. You cannot access label o...

Re: Python script using database variables.

Well, there is another (simpler) way, but it also requires some manual work. You can update the "field alias" value for each field. NiceLabel will use "table_name.field_name" syntax. You can manually replace the period "." with some other character, such as underline "_". Yes, you will have to do th...

Re: Rotate a Barcode

You need NiceLabel 2017 or NiceLabel 2019 to rotate barcode with 1-degree accuracy.

Re: Rotate a Barcode

If you print barcode as graphic, you can use any rotation level. In this case, NiceLabel creates an image of the barcode and sends it to the printer as graphic (bitmap). If you print barcode as printer object, the rotation options are determined by the printer abilities. Usually, 90/180 degrees rota...

Re: Rich Text Not Printing

Hi, I believe the resolution is to tell NiceLabel to merge all graphical objects from the label into one big image. Do the following: Open your label in the NiceLabel Designer . Open Label Properties . Go to Printer tab. Enable the option Combine non-printer elements into one graphic when sent to pr...

Re: Print multi labels onetime using TCP/IP trigger

Hi moewmoew,

Probably, the position of of your Open Label / Print Label actions is wrong.
You should nest these actions inside "For each line" item.

Change your actions from this:

Re: Initial data remains in Design View

Hi bojanmir, That is by design. Every time you connect to a database source, field values from the first record will be used as "provisional values" in NiceLabel. If you take a look at properties of database fields in NiceLabel, you will see that provisional value field has a value. Provisional valu...

Re: Programming with Table(rows)

Hi LaVenezia, You can do this in NiceLabel. I would not connect to the database again from the script. You already have a database connection made in the form, you can re-use it. Use the For every record action to iterate through all/selected records. Underneath it, you can define Execute Script act...

Re: Label text box with multiple columns from the same variable

Hi ozkitpl, NiceLabel 2017 and 2019 do not support the "label" object in the VBScript anymore. The API interface in 2017/2019 is different to that in V6. See the KB article Differences in NiceLabel 2019 compared with NiceLabel 6 . You can still run similar script in PowerForms when you build your cu...

You can use the same Python script in LBL file for Automation 1.5.
Here is a sample LBL file. :)

Re: Calculated value

NiceLabel does not have MD5 algorithm built in, but it can still calculate it for you. The easiest method would be to use Python to do calculation for you. Python is a programming language that you can use in NiceLabel to extend the functionality of NiceLabel. You mostly use it for calculations. You...

Re: Label preview in PowerForms

OK, now I think I understand what is happening on your PC. If I understand correctly, you have the page of labels defined (e.g. A4 with 24 labels). You print "a page of labels". Sometimes you don't see the page navigation in the preview and sometimes you see "1 of 24"? This will happen, if you selec...

Re: Label preview in PowerForms

The Label Preview object does not show just a preview of a single label. The object display the result of the entire print process. All labels from the current print job are displayed. If the current print job contains one label only, you will see just this one label in the Label Preview. If the cur...
