Re: Arrays from a Database 2019

Amber, I understand, but again, there is probably already a more efficient way using native functions of the software. When printing from a database, NiceLabel already iterates through records and can update a database field per record. This database field can be used in conditional logic to decide ...

Re: Automation & Form interacting

ricardo, The concept is the same regardless of which way data is going. PowerForms can utilize the following actions: HTTP Request Send Data to TCP/IP Port Read Data from Serial Port Read Data from File HTTP/TCP requests can be sent to a running Automation trigger, which in turn, will return relevan...

Re: Automation & Form interacting

ricardo, NiceLabel Automation and NiceLabel PowerForms are, in most ways, opposite products. PowerForms is intended to have a printer operator who is manually providing the data or manually controlling the print process. Automation, as a middleware, is naturally integrating with some other system's ...

Re: Increment SN on labels

MichaelIGEA, You should create a Counter variable on the label. See below: screenshot_19.jpg Once a Counter is created, you may related a text object's data source to the Counter variable. This value with auto-increment with each unique label print. You can find more information on page 195 of the D...

Re: Arrays from a Database 2019

ajoy2w, You can already place items in a vertical list within a Text Box without any VBScript logic. Simply enable Collect Records, but keep the delimiter as the default <CR><LF>. Then, set that related column as the data source of a Text Box on the label. Records will now be listed vertically in a ...

Re: Print/spool status and nicedriver for Zebra S4M 203dpi ZPL

margy82, The functionality you desire is already built into PowerForms and Automation Enterprise with the "Printer Status" action. Each printer has proprietary status messages, so it's not just a universal message all printers provide. NiceLabel Printer Drivers support reporting messages as shown be...

Re: Print/spool status and nicedriver for Zebra S4M 203dpi ZPL

margy82, Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are basing an application on SimpleAsyncPrintSample. This sample is using NiceLabel.SDK.SpoolJobStatus method to provide status updates. Here are the available status messages per SDK Reference Guide: screenshot_21.jpg "Printed" status means print job succes...

Re: Validate Combobox data

Dan, I'm not sure if I understand your use-case for this. What is the purpose of filling the Combo Box with available Serial Numbers if the user is just going to manually scan the value anyways (and require validation)? Even if you pop a Message Box to the user, all the serial numbers will be shown ...

Re: Validate Combobox data

Dan, In the Combo Box object Properties > Events > On Exit, you can configure some actions that occur when a user scans content into the Combo Box. Most likely, the scanner sends a Tab or Return after the scan, so this Event should occur automatically. In the Actions Editor, you may add a "Message B...

Re: Integrating with .Net Windows Application

summitworks, Perhaps the issue is in this step: "copying the code from txt file and using it in my windows application". Perhaps some characters in the print stream are being stripped during the copy to your application? I don't really understand what you mean, but maybe you can find a way to send t...

jjaunass,

Simply use the Action "Open Document/Program" and point to the location of your Solution file. Be sure this file is set to open with NiceLabel Print by default.

Re: Integrating with .Net Windows Application

summitworks, Firstly, if you have NiceLabel Designer PowerForms Suite or higher, I recommend to utilize the NiceLabel .NET API, which is offered as part of this license. This way, your application can directly integrate with NiceLabel's print engine. If you have a license lower than PowerForms Suite...
