Re: Doubling label qty during print

I experienced same while generating text files from Excel and have solved the problem by deleting the text files once Automation fires the trigger. Deletion does the trick.

Re: Print directly From Access 2003 database

As far as I understand NiceLabel doesn't have an SDK for VBA Access although I wish it did.

Re: Toshiba b-ex4t1

Most if not all thermal transfer printers auto-calibrate after changing the media so little joy here unless you buy 2 or 3 more printers and keep the most commonly used labels in specific printers.

Re: EAN13 barcode problem

barcode error.zip From a database perspective one should first make sure to have valid data. This can either be done by using a database that doesn't allow to enter invalid data. If you happen to use Excel you could surely enforce a 12 or 13 digit entry. However if you cannot ensure data accuracy a...

Dear Saso,

We granted full rights (read/write) to the system folder, still to no avail.

v6.2 - Multi-User Activation - FORMATS.DEF

We installed a single user v6.2 and then entered the multi-user licence key on a server share. The activation wizard refused to accept the first primary network location and NiceLabel v6.2 stopped working indicating the following error message: Can not read the FORMATS.DEF file from the \system fold...

Re: print multiple records on same page

NiceLabel v6.x comes with a function called DATA COLLECTION in DATA RETRIEVAL which allows to print a fixed number of different records per label. Should you need a more elaborate function with a dynamic record count you would have to go for a scripting solution where you manually create the data sh...

Re: Print Main and Tail on different printers?

I've had a similar situation where we needed to print two different labels (size, text) for a tandem print & apply system (top / bottom printers). I'm not too clued on with main & tail labels so I wrote a relatively simple PowerForms that retrieves two different labels by using filters. It w...

Re: Execute DB connection only when an Input Field runs

Dear John, I've recently had a similar scenario whereby we retrieve data from an Oracle DB with some 1.8 MN entries. Given the high record count it was out of the question to use TABLES and opted for an unbound & dynamic approach with SEARCH & BLANK buttons and VB scripting. Performance is s...

Re: Exel as database from specified row?

Yes it is. You simply name the data values only, eg post row 33. Alternatively I would suggest you put header information into a separate tab so as to avoid any mix-up.

Alternatively you could use a SQL statement as follows:

select * from `data$` where counter > 2

RTF Database Fields

MS Access 2007 and upwards allows storing of text in RTF format. Are there any plans lined up so that NiceLabel can print native RTF?

PowerForms properties

If you want to set a control to "invisible" on a PowerForm you need to come up with a workaround. In comparison to VBA for instance manipulation of "controls' properties" is relatively limited. Aren't there plans in place to offer more flexibility in terms of "controls' prop...

Circle RTF text box (database field)

v6.2 comes with trapeze shapes which is good. The question is - when will NiceLabel support oval / round shaped RTF text boxes? I would see this as a logical step forward in label printing.

SDK for VBA

MS Access has survived many storms and is still going strong. Why not come up with an SDK for MS Access? Sure enough I would make PowerForms oblivious to some extent yet given the versatility of MS Access such an SDK would surely do more good than harm.

Dynamic NiceForm

One of our clients is using NiceLabel Pro v6.2/PowerForms with hundreds of different labels in various directories with dynamic input fields and graphics. By default PowerForms allows retrieval of lbl by directory. Given this scenario I would have to create one PowerForm per directory which is out o...
