Re: Policy blocks NT 4.0 driver error

This happens if you try to install kernel mode drivers. The strange thing about this issue is the fact that latest NiceDrivers are user mode drivers not kernel mode. So my suggestion would be to download the drivers again and try to install them. In case this fails you will need to play with your gr...

Re: Different records on one label

Hello,

You can use Collect records option that can be found in the database properties dialog. This option retrieves more than one record from the database on a single label.

Hope this helps 8)

Re: Error Invalid Value for object

Hello Fayaz Your variable seem to be defined in a way that it only accepts numeric values. What you need to do to solve the issue is to open the label in NiceLabel application, go to Data->Variables menu. Then select the variable that is causing problems and click Edit. In the variable properties di...

Hello malcook This happens when all interfaces are not cleared during the usage of our engine. Please make sure you clear up all the interfaces and you shouldn't have any problems anymore. Just a hint....if you use INiceLabel.Variables and touch the members of this list you need to extract it to a l...

Re: Changing the BarcodeType

Hello Steve, What you can do (it is a workarround but it might cut the mustard for you) is to create two barcodes (one UPC-A and another whatever you wish to have, for example Code128) and place them one over the other and link them to the same data source (variable). Now before you call INiceLabel-...

Re: How to get the output value of an inner function ?

Hi Mattia It's not actually your fault, this is just an optimization to make process faster. When you set a variable value NiceLabel does not update all of its dependant functions. It rather waits untill necesary. And this is necesary if you want to print or perform a print preview (get preview of a...

Re: Mysql connection error 95012

Can you try with this ODBC driver:

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/5.1.html

I never heard of HeidiSQL before, I googled for it and from what I see in the description, the driver above might be a better choice.

Hope this helps 8)

Re: Slow printing (Intermec)

Hello Jochen,

If you have USB problems why not connect the printer via TCP/IP interface and install it to your windows machine as a Network printer? This is the fastest way to communicate with the printer and might solve all your USB problems.

Just a suggestion 8)

Re: Inserting a PDF file = poor quality

DDE Objects allways depend on the source application not the host. In your case NiceLabel is the host application that allows source application (I presume Adobe Acrobat) to render the picture inside the host. What happens in the back is the source application creates eigter bitmap or vector graphic...

Re: 2 or more different labels on one A4 sheet!?

Excel is also an option. If you are using single instance there should be no problem. If you plan to connect to the same excel spreadsheet from multiple applications I would suggest to use access. To use excel is simple, create an excel file, save it to hard disk, start NiceLabel, create new label, ...

Re: 2 or more different labels on one A4 sheet!?

I would suggest to use external database. In case you have small amount of data I would go for Access (MDB) database, in case of large amount of data I would suggest a vector based database such as MS SQL or mySQL server. 8)
