Re: Printing from continuing renewed Excel file

Nigel We recommend, the best practice for using NiceLabel with a database in which you want to enter new data into, would be to use a true type database such as access or SQL. Excel is not a true database, and is just a spreadsheet that cannot be edited on the fly, compared to access or SQL. It woul...

Re: PowerForms Web vs Nicelabel Print

huijbrem The Nicelabel Web client is a one solution (label or solution file) to one user setup, whereas Nicelabel print can access files in a folder directory and print multiple labels. If you wanted to have a Web client user to have access to multiple solutions they would need separate logins for e...

Re: Counter for header labels

XaviUniLabel, This can be accomplished with Nicelabel 2017's new technology, with main and header labels. You can create a linear function that uses a global variable (as these can be shared across labels in 2017) and take the value and add 1 to it Linearcounter.JPG As my starting counter value for ...

Re: 2017 SDK - StorageErrorCode.CannotOpenFile

Mikemid We recommend for SDK issues to run through these SOP's for troubleshooting. 1. Can you print the label through designer without any issue, this will rule out any coding issues. 2. Run one of the samples in the C:\Users\Public\Documents\NiceLabel 2017\SDK\Samples folder, that will test to see...

Re: Database Log Files

SpikenaylorHome, As you are trying to use print logging to a network shared folder that is not available at times, there unfortunately isn't a way to tell nicelabel to switch locations to log printing data. However, newer technology in Nicelabel 2017 would allow for the continued printing of labels ...

Re: NiceLabel Automation not evaluating function

Pdirkse, Using a linear function we created a label with a linear function that takes an input and then divides it by 42 Linear function.JPG Which works correctly in designer with whatever value we put in. We have tested it with Automation against a SQL database and it pulls the information correctl...

Re: GS 1 128 AI Parentheses missing

Stewart,

After our tech support looked at your barcode issue, it turns out that a Code 128 barcode was used instead of a GS1-128

Simply change the barcode to a GS1-128 and it will show the parentheses

Re: spread text lines over several labels

Greenhorn, In NiceLabel there is a way to spread records over multiple labels. It’s a feature called Collect records, which in short can display multiple records on a single label and then span them across an infinite number of labels. The F1 help system in NiceLabel gives a better break down of wha...
