Trigger sees no driver errors

Post by Strelskya » Sun Jul 11, 2021 10:16 am

I am testing controlled (synchronous) printing with error handling. If the error is in the trigger, it is detected successfully. But, when trying to print to a turned off printer, the driver sees an error (the printer is Not accessible), but the trigger (the "Print label" action) hangs indefinitely in a wait state without receiving an error state.

Strelskya,

Do your printers support bi-directional support?

Kyleodonnell,
Yes, the printer (Honeywell PX-940) supports bidirectional communication and I am using advansed TCP port. BUT, the time of the previously described test is while the printer is OFF. The driver understands the situation correctly (reports an error), but the trigger just hangs (gets nothing) ...

The "Print Label" action should have some kind of timeout and report an error if the printer is not responding (unavailable) ...
