cutting after printjob

Post by helado » Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:24 am

i print with labels.
i know there is an option in Nicelabel, that you could cut after the printjob.
But i will allow the user to decide , if its cut after printing or not.

know anyone a parameter, where this works, or is this with the nicelabel.sdk impossible?

Thanks 4 reading

kindly Thomas

I suppose NiceLabel 2019 .NET API is installed on your computer.
Two methods exist to offer user to select/deselect cutter:
1. Two label templates
Label templates of same contents are different in cutter/no cutter selection only, saved in label. User selects cut/no cut.
2. .Net API method SetParameter
This method is advanced one. Supported parameters are:
- PaperBin
- PrintSpeed
- PrintDarkness
- HorizontalOffset
- VerticalOffset
- PrintSettings

"PrintSettings" Specifies the custom printer settings to be applied to the print job. The parameter requires the entire DEVMODE for the target printer, provided in a Base64-encoded string. The DEVMODE contains all parameters from the printer driver at once, also CUT mode.

hello milos,

thanks for your answer.

i think i would make an empty label where the paramater cutting is checked to true.
so if the user would print and want to cut after the printjob, i print 1 of these label finally, so i get the cut.
this would the easiest way.
with the DEVMODE, i have no experience.
i have to check the internet for that.
