Is the Visual Basic scripting in NiceForm full Visual Basic for Applications?
The reason I ask is because I want to make use of VB components to be able to call a HTTP GET URL direct from a NiceForm script.
For example, I'd like to be able to use the following in a Visual Basic script in NiceForm:
Code: Select all
Dim res As String
Dim doc1 As HTMLDocument
Dim doc2 As HTMLDocument
Set doc1 = New HTMLDocument
Set doc2 = doc1.createDocumentFromUrl("http://server_address.com/script.cgi?param1=a¶m2=b","")
Do Until doc2.readyState = "complete"
res = doc2.documentElement.outerHTML
I also want to be able to process the returned data from the URL call (i.e. as in variable 'res' above)

I've already attached a sample code how to get some data from the web site to your VBA script on this
Unfortunately you cannot use the Visual Basic language that Visual Studio uses. Visual Basic scripting (that Nice application use) is a much lighter edition of VB which supports a lot less functionality.

For details about what you can do inside VB Script see the help file included with NiceLabel software.
