You have two possibilities, with decision based on how you print your labels.
1. Print directly from the mobile device to the mobile printer.
During the design time you place the Excel spreadsheet as table on the form. Enable search controls in table properties -> Advanced tab.
You can scan the bar code directly into the table search field. The field values for the selected record will be mapped to the label variables.
If you need to set value for additional variable (not mapped to the database field), you can put another edit field on the form and link it with that variable.
Pocket NiceLabel will print labels directly from the device. Print file is prepared on the mobile device and sent to the printer. This is fast printing method and allows on-site printing without access to the LAN.
2. Print labels using distributed printing
In this case the mobile device does not prepare the print file and does not print labels directly. Instead, at print time Pocket NiceLabel generates the JOB file (text file with NiceCommands) that describes the printing process. The JOB file is sent to middleware integration server NiceWatch that listens for incomming connections (in this particular case: for file drop, or inbound TCP/IP).
NiceWatch receives the JOB file and executes it. NiceLabel desktop print engine (more powerful that Pocket NiceLabel engine) creates a print file and sends it to any printer. This can be printer in the entirely different location than your standing-point, or it can be your mobile printer (if it is accessible over the WiFi).
You can enable distributed printing during the form design, Form properties -> Distributed printing tab, or in Pocket NiceLabel in its preferences.

Do not connect to Excel spreadsheet on the label and on the form.
If you have a Excel connection on the label, form cannot open Excel as it is already in use by connection on the label. That's why you see the 'login' dialog box.
- Create normal prompt (keyboard entry) variables on the label.
- For the names of variables use the names of columns in Excel.
- Then connect to the Excel spreadsheet in the form.
- Place the table object on the form, link it with the Excel.
- In table properties (Columns tab) create mappings between fields and variables.
- You will not see any 'login' dialog box, because only form has a connection to the Excel spreadsheet.

I have done that and I do not have login pop up window. How should I transfer database to PDA. I have load *.lvr , *.pnl , *.off file. How much variable could I have on terminal because i use licence from suite. When I
load label with two variable with promt input there was a message Buffer is too small to hold the error description.
Please I need a quick response.

To transfer labels/forms/databases to the mobile device with NiceLabel v3, use the application "Synchronization Manager". Find it in the NiceLabel program group in Start -> Programs. In NiceLabel v5 the features of the Synchronization Manager are built into the software, so you can make the export in NiceLabel Pro or NiceForm.
I don't think there is any limit on the number of variables you use on the label, if your Pocket NiceLabel is activated. If you do not activate Pocket NiceLabel, there is a limit of one variable per label.
Huh, I have no idea why that error message would pop up. Are you using the latest Pocket NiceLabel in v3? 3.6.5?
