The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requires manufacturers, importers, downstream users and distributors of chemical substances and mixtures to adopt the standard by June 2015. NiceLabel has developed a simple GHS labeling solution that is ready to use out-of-the box and helps small suppliers and downstream users to quickly adopt the new standard and avoid the risk of non-compliance.
As of June 1, 2015, all products falling within the scope of the GHS regulation must carry the GHS label at the point where they are supplied in the workplace and maintain the label throughout the product’s use.
In order to support business in their effort to comply with the GHS labeling regulation and to contribute to the health and safety of the workplace, NiceLabel has launched a simple PowerForms Desktop GHS solution that is ready to use out-of-the box; it can be quickly deployed to meet GHS compliance needs.
“The NiceLabel GHS desktop application includes all required GHS label design features as well as an intuitive PowerForms application to print labels and manage a database with chemicals. Based on chemical selection; all hazard statements, precautionary statements and GHS-mandated pictograms are automatically populated in the correct size for the label with multiple formatting options. The solution also offers support for multiple languages which can be selected on the printing form,” said Ken Moir, Marketing Director at NiceLabel.
Earlier this year, NiceLabel also developed a free easy-to-use GHS Cloud Solution that contains 4,500 chemicals (so-called 'pure substances') and allows users to print GHS compliant labels from their browser. It includes pre-deigned ready-to-print compliant labels, Annex 6 regulatory data and pictograms in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese. Label designs are optimized for color label and laser printers.
NiceLabel also helps larger organizations achieve GHS compliance while significantly reducing operational costs and increasing agility through all-in-one label management, printing and integration solutions.
