EPS export file not recognized by other programs

Post by dweezelle » Tue Aug 10, 2010 8:55 pm

Hi! I recently upgraded to Nicelabel Pro for EPS export. I had to install a linotype driver (print to file; 300 v47.x) to get that function to run, and it now outputs a rather small 30kb file (from a 1.5x2" label layout) which I cannot seem to get other EPS-friendly programs (specifically Illustrator, CS4/CS5) to recognize as a valid file.

What am I doing wrong? I have used EPS files from other programs in illustrator, and am running XP, service pack 2, if that matters...

Thanks!

Hi dweezelle,

NiceLabel creates the EPS file with a help of any Postscript driver installed in your Windows (like Linotronic driver). NiceLabel will print the label to EPS, similarly to Print to file option.

The resulting EPS depends on the Postscript printer driver settings. Try to change the driver options and see if that helps. FYI, you can open NiceLabel's EPS file in CorelDraw...
