Opening .lbl with NiceLabel 17

Post by Markota » Tue Aug 23, 2016 2:50 pm

Hi, is there any hint about opening .lbl file created by NiceLabel 3 with NL17.
I tried to open with NL17 but there is an message: " object reference not set to an instance of an object".
Thx, Marko

You can open old .LBL files in NiceLabel 2017, but they must have the internal file version set to 20. You can see this version, when you open label in NiceLabel Pro and see File>Properties>Advanced.

You will have to open your NiceLabel V3 labels in NiceLabel V6 and re-save them.
The labels saved with V6 will have internal version 20 and can be opened in NiceLabel 2017.

You can download a trial version of NiceLabel V6.

Hi Frank,

Hmm, you might be right. :D

Automation 1.5 could open labels saved with the last release of NiceLabel 5, which was 5.4.4.
I think the same requirement stays in place for Automation 2017.

So, yes, version 19 is the minimum file version that you can use with NiceLabel 2017.
