[NL2017] database assigned variables

Post by Frank » Wed Nov 09, 2016 1:32 pm

Hi,

NL 2017 is new....

I imported a *.xff form in 2017 so far so good...
but where can i find the 'comparison' of the
[database field] to its assigned [variable]
... like before in NL4.xx, NL 5.xx, NL6.xx ?

Hi Frank,

You have probably figured this one already by yourself...

In NiceLabel 2017, you can use data sources directly with the label/form objects. You do not have to map database fields to variables anymore.

I'm afraid not! :(

sample:
Import a NiceForm that s build in NiceLabel V6.
have a inputfield field (variable: input)
a database field: 'Article' connected to (variable: dataset)
Database-Filter: Article = input

and in your script (leave the inputfield) that will check if record exist anyway:
if dataset <> input then.....

where in NiceLabel 2017 can i find the:
Database field was mapped to a variable: 'Article' --> 'dataset'

maybe new solutions created in NiceLabel Designer 2017 can use data sources directly...
but imported one have many variables with no (visible) relation to database :?:

EDIT:

solved
... was blind #-o (its inside the table like before)
sorry
