Hello!
If NiceLabel installation really stops responding when Windows installer starts it's job, then Windows component "Windows installer" could be corrupted on your computer.
You can try to reinstall Windows Installer. It is available at the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292539/en-us
Try to download and install Windows Installer 2.0. Then try to install NiceLabel. I hope this will help.
You can also try to install NiceLabel on a clean Windows operating system - I suggest Windows reinstallation on the existing computer OR try to install NiceLabel on some other computer.

I had tried different Windows Installer version, but it does not work.
I think this is strange problem, we have serveal customer's computers get the same problem in recent one month, It looks like random occured . I don't think it is a good idea to ask my customer to reinstall their server when use the NiceLabel products.
I want to know is there any report has the same issue like this?
Best Regards,
William.
Hi!
Such problem in not reproducible in our environment. If you have "clean" operating system, the installation should perform without problems.
However I need more info:
- NiceLabel version (5.1.1919)?
- NiceLabel Edition?
- You mentioned Windows XP - Service Pack?
- when exactly the installation stop responding?
You can also contact your local your local support team and email your screenshots.

Thanks a lot for your reply so fast!!
I have tried serveal version such as 5.1.1919 and 1414 .
I am using the pro/suite edition.
The OS is Windows XP with SP2 and some of them are SP3.
The installation process stopped when it show (windows installer). The system runs normal. There is no responding any more.I can only close it from task manager.
We are the local support team and we are also puzzle with this problem.

William.
Hi
William, can you try to run NiceLabel with /log parameter? If the installation starts properly then the log file will be created:
NL CD: ...\Setup\NiceLabel\NiceLabel-ProSuite5.exe /l=[path to log.txt]
like
NiceLabel-ProSuite5.exe /l="c:\temp\log.txt"
Let me know if the log file is created or not.
And one more question: are you using English Windows XP system? Are you sure that the same problem appears on Windows XP SP2 (not only on SP3)?
