Convert Exp date format for GS1 barcode???

Post by Cristobal89 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 6:35 pm

My expiration date format is required as YYYY-MM-DD.
But in my GS1 barcode I need a YYMMDD format.
Does anyone know a way to convert my exp date format in my barcode?

In NiceLabel V6, do the following:
  1. Create a new Concatenate function.
  2. For input, select your current date variable - the one you use in a text object.
The function will create new function-generated variable.
  3. Open properties of the function-generated variable.
  4. Define the variable as Date variable.
  5. Configure the input date format to the one you have for the Text object (YYYY-MM-DD).
  6. Configure the output date forma to the one you want to have in the barcode.
Basically, you create a copy of one variable (but linking it to the original data source) and reformatting the date output.

In NiceLabel 2017, you do not have to do anything. NiceLabel will automatically format the date value for the barcode to what GS1 Application Identifier expects.
