checking info against SQL DB

Post by gfrederick » Tue Jul 16, 2019 5:10 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to verify a part number scanned by an operator based on order coming from an SQL DB. I have the form (v2019) created to show all parts based on an Order Number scanned in by an operator. The number of records shown varies with every order number.

How can I check against the DB to make sure that the operator has scanned all parts on the order?

Thank you!
Greg

Greg,

You would have to write SQL statements using the execute SQL statement action to check against the records in your DB vs what the operator has scanned.

Thanks Kyle,

Where would I put the statements? In the edit field I'm scanning into?

Greg,

You could do them when the user exits the field or do a variable event that when the variable changes it will execute the SQL statement.
