Barcode printing issue

Post by jcheevers » Wed Feb 26, 2020 4:04 pm

Hi,

I have a 2D barcode PDF 417 on a label. When I do print preview through automation the label looks fine. When we do an automation run and try to print it, the barcode prints over half the label overwriting other fields. Can you please help me with this?

Thanks,
Joe

Hello Joe,

Did you make the label specific for this printer?
Difference in DPI can unwantedly scale a barcode when printing.

Otherwise did you preview it with the same data as what you are sending to your printer?
This can also scale your barcode.

Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply. I did get the barcode to print properly by changing printing optimization to print as graphics.
The barcode doesn't scan right though. It's not decoding some of the data correctly when scanning such as <HT>.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe
