Count on label

Post by SpikenaylorHome » Wed Dec 17, 2014 8:56 am

I have a label with a count, prints 150 labels counting up.
It shouldn't happen, but if the labels print out smudged or with some problem, the end users are required to enter the starting point of the labels to reprint.

i.e. labels 1 to 75 print ok, rest are smudged for whatever reason.

The end user needs to reprint 76 to 150.

Can anyone provide any pointers on how to acheive this.

I can provide two fields on the form that the end users enters starting number of label to be reprinted and ending number, but not sure how to tie this into the label count field.

The most flexible way is probably the following:
  1. As you said, put two fields on the form where users can enter a from and to value for the counter.
  2. Obviously link those with 2 variables, let's say counterFrom and counterTo.
  3. On the label you will need a variable to display the current counter, e.g. counter ;)
  4. In the actions on the form you can then define a for loop like this:
    counter from to.PNG
counter from to.PNG (16.04 KiB) Viewed 1777 times
  5. Add subsequent actions like open label, set printer and print.
This will loop through the values provided in the input fields and print the label with the according counter.
