whole label scale or fit to print at driver level

Post by ilrnaz » Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:44 am

Hi there,
I wonder if there is a feature like some windows printer driver that allow us to fit/scale/zoom print from original size to another size.
Eg,
by zooming 50% of original size
By zooming 150% of original size
From original size X, fit/print on size Y
It's much appreciated this feature available or can be implemented.
As sometimes compatible sizes of label can be printed in smaller or larger label without redesign the label.
Thanks.

Hi ilrnaz,

Thank you for the idea. I have added it to a "wishlist" for future development.

We'll have to work out the details first.
Printing to thermal/inkjet printers (for which NiceLabel drivers have been developed) usually involves using internal printer elements, such as printer-resident fonts and barcodes. Many times the fonts are not really scalable (vector), but have fixed-sizes. Barcode elements also cannot be freely resized as they depend on the printer resolution.

These are not problems. They are challenges. ;-)
