Smartdate5 and external print trigger

Post by marcellodj » Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:36 pm

I have saved a default label on my sd5 but when i try to print using the i/o cable pressing an external pedal nothing happens, i see the in the diagnostic monitor the input goes to active, but nothing gets printed.
Any help??

We're not familiar with external triggers on these printers as we have never set one up to print that way. If the actual trigger doesn't work you will have to contact Markem support.

There are a few things you can do to check if the label is ready to be printed.
If you go to the printer's IP you can preview the print image of the currently selected label.

Alternatively I think there's a "test print" in the printer menu which should allow you to print currently selected label.

In any case if the preview and/or test print look OK then it should print normally.
If there's nothing there then it would be nice to see the label you have uploaded to check if there's an issue there.
