Drivers Samsung SRP-770 does not work with WIN7 64bits

Post by nsomson » Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:34 am

Hello,

I tested NiceDrivers with the printer BIXOLON Samsung SRP-770 using USB connection on WIN7 64bits station and it doesn't work.
The printer appears in the list of Windows printers but when I launch a print test page, nothing appends.
The Test Page appears and disappears in the printer tasks window but nothing is printed.

I installed the NiceDrivers by using PRNINST.EXE and using the procedure detailled in http://nicelabel.com/index.php?t=faq&id=177 but nothing works.

Could you help me please ?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Nicolas

Nicolas. I'm having the same problems with this printer. HAVE YOU RESOLVED THIS ISSUE. If so, please tell me how

My system
Windows 8
Srp-770 (Not srp-770ii)

Here is my issue
When i try usb connection the computer locks up.
So i bought a usb to serial adapter.
I loaded bixolon provided drivers. I loaded seagull and other brands of drivers. The printer does appear on the list. Test prints do spool. But they fall off the spool list like they were printed and complete without error... problem is they never print. The symptoms are the same with the printer UNPLUGGED from the serial adapter. In other words... the printer is just not making a connection.

Right now its just a big paperweight for me. Curious if you have resolved??

You should try this steps:
1. In Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus controllers delete USB Printing Support
2. Click Action -> Scan for hardware changes
3. USB Printing Support will be added and hopefully also printer

In case printer wasn't added use PrnInst.exe and install printer to "latest" USB port (e.g. USB002).
