General export from Nicelabel to the IPL code

Post by zetor » Fri Sep 23, 2016 4:40 pm

Dear all,

I am trying to use the Intermec PC43t to print the label. I have done the design in the Nicelabel and trying to use the Export option to get the IPL code. But what i get is something like in the attached file(intermec_sample3.txt).

I do not see there the standard <STX> commands and the file looks rubbish to me. Obviously the printer is not reacting when sending the file.

I have installed the proper printer in the Nicelabel in same way i did for other printers like Zebra and Datamax (for both of them i get the nice code ZPL/DPL).

Can you please let me know why Nicelabel is not generating the proper IPL code ?.
Any feedback is highly appreciated !
regards Piotr

It looks like you have installed incorrect driver for your printer.
PC43t can have IPL or DP firmware. Driver exists for both.

Your sample file contains DP commands.

I am sure it has to be something simple :):) Below is the list of drivers we do have installed in Nicelabel:

Screen is as well attached to the post.

We are using Intermec PC43t (203dpi) - IPL. Can you please advise which driver we should use ?.

once again thank you very much for your help !

Have you tried the Intermec PC43t (203 dpi) - DP driver ?
Saso mentionned that the sample file uses DP commands. If you use the IPL driver, this can cause problems.

Hi all,

First of all thank you very much for the advises. Indeed the driver was the problem.

I have changed the driver to be DP and this solved the issue :)

Hello everyone,

Sorry if I am confused but I am trying to do the same thing.

I want to design a label for an Intermec PD41/42 printer without the need of having the fisical printer with me. So I have two options: previewing my IPL commands graphically, or creating a label graphically and export it to IPL commands.

Is any of these posible with NiceLabel Pro?

Thanks in advance.

jberruti,

You can do a print to file when in Nicelabel 2019 and it will output the label and values as a .PRN file containing the IPL commands. If you are still having issues, please open a support ticket https://www.nicelabel.com/support/technical-support
