NiceLabel 5 Installation Error

Post by Jud9r » Tue Mar 23, 2010 3:44 pm

When I install nice label 5 pro, compact installation, it goes all the way through to nearly the end, then I get the following error message:-

Runtime Error in setup script

Line 2613: Failed to set data for 'DisplayIcon'

Click OK on that, and it goes back to the install screen (to pick a version).

Try and run and you get an error:

Required system component is not accessible. Check the permissions for "EuroPlus Shared" folder with shared components or reinstall the application.

I'm running Win XP SP2, tried installing as myself (I have admin rights) and even as administrator. Tried uninstall, reinstall, repair etc, get the same thing every time. If anyone can help, that would be great.

Perhaps something bad happend during the NiceLabel install. Even when you uninstalled the NiceLabel from, there might be some files left on the system, causing problems with subsequent installations.

I would suggest that you:
  • Uninstall NiceLabel again.
  • Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
  • Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and really clean the computer of NiceLabel files.
    NiceLabel uses standard Windows installer...
  • Install NiceLabel again.
If the problem persists, please contact NiceLabel Technical Support team.

Version 5 is no longer supported and is not compatible with Windows 10
