Too many labels

Post by clowe » Mon May 14, 2018 10:45 pm

I have an Automation job that uses RS232 data to trigger a label to print, the problem is it prints 10 copies. I've specified 1 copy in the label design but when I watch the Automation Manager the 'Processed' count goes to 11 but I get 10 printouts. I'm sure I am missing something obvious. I am using version 17.2 (Build 1839), Product Level = Easy, License = PowerForms Suite 10 printers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the process count goes to 10 this means that the Serial Port trigger was triggered 10 times.

In your case I would double check the serial port trigger configuration. Why would the trigger execute 10 times instead of one, hmmm, if you have "On number of characters received" set to 1 and you send 10 characters over the serial this would make it execute 10 times. Or if you had the "On sequence of characters received" enabled set to "W" and you would send something like "aaaaWaaaaWbbbbWbbbbW" this would execute it 4 times....

Thanks Damjan, that did the trick. I did indeed have it set to only one character; fixed that all is well.
