Label printig from excel database

Post by zakanybence » Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:13 am

Dear All!

I have an issue in my label printing project. I would like to print labels with data whitch from excel. I examined the sample programs ( and i found this sample, and it is good for me: "Scan & Print from Excel") and i did the same way. It works but not well. When i add the product ID to the txt file and save it, the automation starts to print. It print 5 label because there are 5 data of labels in the excel. I don't know where am i do it wrong.
I linked my project files. From the excel file , there ara many data, but i need to focus to the productID(that is in my native language, it is "Termékkód") It includes 4 character like 6003,1818 etc...

If anyone has a solution or advice please help me in my problem.

Thank you!
Kind regards,

Hi zakanybence,

You probably forgot to define a "filter" in the table connection properties.
  • Without a filter, NiceLabel will print all records it finds in Excel.
  • With a filter, NiceLabel will print all records that match the filter.
You must connect the Id of a product with a field in Excel that contains product Ids.
In NiceLabel Designer, you can create this filter graphically.

Do the following:
  1. Open the sample label again.
  2. In Home ribbon tab, click Dynamic Data Manager.
  3. In left-hand pane, find the connection to the Excel file "Pasta.xlsx".
  4. If necessary, expand it to reveal the tables (spreadsheets) from Excel file.
  5. Double-click the table name, "Pasta" in this case.
  6. Go to Filter tab.
  7. See how sample label defines the filter.

  8. Do the same on your label.
